Curry Printing Receives Kronos ’04 Premier Supplier Award
Worcester, Mass. Curry Printing has been named 2004 Premier Supplier by international work force management software developer Kronos. The central Massachusetts offset and digital printing company, with two locations in Worcester and one each in Auburn and Westborough, was honored for its ability to meet near perfect quality and delivery standards set by the Chelmsford, Mass-based software giant.
According to Kronos purchasing agent Dan Cassidy, out of over 150 suppliers Curry was the only one to meet the highest quality and delivery demands of the software company, with over $450 million in annual sales and 2700 employees. “To get in the running for this award, a vendor must have at least one year of near perfect delivery and quality. In 2004, Curry delivered 100% in both categories,” commented Cassidy.
The ISO registered company also looks at a supplier’s overall efficiency and systems to deliver its goods or services as part of the criteria for the award. According to Kronos purchasing manager Bill Harley, Curry’s outstanding customer service and job flow processes enabled the printer to reduce turnaround times from three to five days to one day in many cases, saving the software company considerable time and money.
Harley, Cassidy, and three other Kronos representatives presented Curry Printing with its 2004 Premier Supplier award in a ceremony March 4 at the printer’s main facility located at 165 Southbridge Street in Worcester. Curry has three other locations at Clark University, Worcester; 144 East Main Street, Westborough; and 567 Southbridge Street, Auburn.
Curry Printing is a privately-held company providing printing and copying solutions to Central Massachusetts since 1978.
